What makes ancient documentss, tales and myths scripture?  In all religions scripture is an amalgam of mythis and stories that were passed on orally for centuries before they were ever written down.  How did any of this become the word of God?  How do we know that any of these are even close to what God said or wants?  The usual scholarly procedure is to perl away later lsayers to get close to an original source.  But since religious traditions evolved orallay, there may never have been a unique original source.

How can we be sure there is an original source?
